Flying with Kids: A Parent’s Survival Guide

Traveling with children doesn’t have to be stressful. With the right prep, it can be the start of a lifetime of family memories.

Before the Flight

  • Book seats together (aisle + window leaves middle free).
  • Pre-order kids’ meals—they’re often healthier and served first.
  • Pack a “surprise bag” with new toys, stickers, or coloring books.

During the Flight

Encourage swallowing during takeoff/landing (use bottles, pacifiers, or gum) to ease ear pressure. Walk the aisle when safe to burn energy.

Remember: other passengers were once kids too—most will be understanding!
